Job Description As a Security Officer - Hospital Entry Screening in Escondido, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Screener in a healthcare location, you will monitor entrances, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents while providing a welcoming presence for patients, staff, and visitors. Your role involves supporting a respectful and secure environment, responding to incidents, and delivering outstanding customer service in line with Allied Universal's caring and people-first culture. Requirements

  • Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Experience working in a hospital morgue environment is required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Handcuffing certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Screen individuals entering the healthcare location, verifying credentials and/or conducting health-related checks as required by site protocols.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established guidelines.
  • Monitor entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized access and/or prohibited items from entering the location.
  • Communicate clearly with staff, visitors, and patients to provide information and assistance as needed.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of screening activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences.
  • Work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members and on-site personnel to support a secure environment within the healthcare setting.
