As a Security Officer - Hospital Entry Patrol in Canonsburg, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Security Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help to deter security-related incidents and create a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Requirements

  • Vaccines are required for this hospital position.
  • This hospital position may involve working in a morgue setting.
  • This hospital position may require restraining individuals.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies within a healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with emergency response activities as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or disturbances.
  • Assist visitors, patients, and staff by providing directions and responding to inquiries related to security-related matters.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, unusual observations, and/or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff and emergency responders as required during incidents and/or drills.
