As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned healthcare locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while supporting a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible throughout the facility, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication, all while upholding our core values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

Requirements

  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Vaccines are required for hospital assignments.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the healthcare environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a visible Allied Universal presence.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to site protocols.
  • Assist with access control, visitor management, and enforcement of site-specific rules and regulations.
  • Support emergency response activities and coordinate with healthcare staff and/or first responders as required.
