Security Officer - Hospital Entrance Rounds
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Hospital Entrance Rounds in Culver City, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a busy healthcare location, you will make routine rounds, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related issues, and support access control. You will assist staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication and a helpful presence, while documenting observations and reporting concerns. Requirements
- Have at least 1 year of security experience.
- Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
- Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Guard Card and license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting de-escalation and coordinating with clinical staff and/or local responders as directed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, patient care areas, entrances, and the perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by post assignment.
- Monitor access points and public areas, assist with visitor wayfinding and/or access verification per site policy, and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns to the appropriate department.
- Complete detailed incident reports and shift logs, operate site communication systems, and follow chain-of-command notifications for alarms, disturbances, lost and found, and other security-related events.
