As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a busy healthcare location, you will conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, assist staff, patients, and visitors with directions and concerns, and document activity with clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy Requirements. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following site-specific security-related procedures, access guidelines, and emergency response activities as directed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical area standby requests, and calls for assistance from hospital personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and around the perimeter, checking doors, corridors, parking areas, and other assigned locations to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations, documenting incidents and completing reports in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
  • Support visitor management and access control by verifying credentials, directing foot traffic, and/or assisting with controlled entry points per site policy.
