Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • At least 2 years of service in a healthcare and/or medical-related field is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, helping to verify authorized entry, provide directions, and support order within waiting areas, lobbies, and other public-facing spaces.
  • Assist with security-related requests from hospital personnel, including escort support, de-escalation assistance, and response to calls for service while maintaining professionalism and courtesy.
