As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to discourage security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, support access control, and deliver professional customer service through clear communication and teamwork. This armed post requires an Armed Guard Card and/or license, backed by our agile, reliable, innovative, integrity-first culture.

Requirements

Possess an armed guard card/license.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of building common areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards or unusual conditions.
Monitor access points, loading areas, and other controlled areas; verify identification, issue visitor credentials when required, and/or enforce property access rules in a professional manner.
Observe and report suspicious activity, unsecured doors, malfunctioning lighting, and/or other conditions that may require attention; communicate findings to site contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical incidents, disturbances, and/or fire and intrusion alarms, and request public emergency services when needed.
Document patrols, incidents, and daily activities using written reports and/or electronic reporting systems; maintain accurate logs and submit required paperwork on time.
Assist with traffic control and/or parking enforcement during peak periods, special events, and service calls to support orderly site operations.
Operate security-related equipment such as radios, access control systems, and video monitoring tools when assigned, and report equipment issues through established channels.
Support emergency procedures such as evacuation, shelter in place, and/or lockdown as directed by site policy and Allied Universal post orders.
Maintain a professional presence while carrying assigned duty gear, follow all applicable use-of-force and firearms policies, and coordinate with Allied Universal management regarding post requirements.
