As an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with calm customer service. You will conduct routine rounds, respond to calls for assistance, document observations, and communicate clearly with the care team. Requirements

  • Vaccines are required for this hospital site.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access control, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical facility alerts, and requests for assistance from hospital personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior corridors, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards or maintenance concerns for reporting.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and communications systems, and document activities, incidents, and observations in daily reports per site requirements.
  • Support patient and visitor flow by providing directions, managing lines and/or waiting areas as assigned, and coordinating with clinical staff and local responders when needed.
