As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will monitor entrances and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents. Your presence will help maintain a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Requirements

Vaccinations required for hospital environment.
Ability to restrain individuals in a hospital environment required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies in a healthcare environment.
Monitor access points to help control entry and exit, verifying identification and credentials as required by site protocols.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or breaches.
Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to site and Allied Universal guidelines.
Support healthcare staff and visitors by providing directions, information, and assistance as needed.
Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency personnel when necessary, in accordance with site protocols.
