As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will monitor entrances and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents. Your presence will help maintain a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Requirements

  • Vaccinations required for hospital environment.
  • Ability to restrain individuals in a hospital environment required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies in a healthcare environment.
  • Monitor access points to help control entry and exit, verifying identification and credentials as required by site protocols.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or breaches.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to site and Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Support healthcare staff and visitors by providing directions, information, and assistance as needed.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency personnel when necessary, in accordance with site protocols.
