As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and access control activity, assist tenants and visitors with a customer-first approach, and communicate clear updates to site leadership. Requirements

• Have a minimum of 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and tenants at a commercial property by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout building common areas, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and access concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, contractor, and vendor activity; report irregularities and follow site procedures for addressing unauthorized entry and/or restricted area concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, coordinating with property management, and contacting local emergency services when needed.
• Complete reports and daily activity logs, communicate key updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts, and assist with client-requested tasks consistent with post orders.
