As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Screening Associate in Diamond Bar, CA, this role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts. The role involves a fixed-shift commitment (Anchor Shifts) at a designated site and weekly shift, requiring a six-month commitment. In addition to the fixed shift, employees can pick up extra shifts through a scheduling platform to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites, allowing for part-time hours one week and full-time the next. This position is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back when needed.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or visitors by following site-specific procedures, community access guidelines, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Screen and verify visitors, vendors, deliveries, and/or contractors before entry, while checking identification, visitor information, and access authorization in a professional manner.
  • Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to property management and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Monitor entry points, assist with access control activities, and help to deter unauthorized entry through visible presence, attentive observation, and consistent application of security-related procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the residential location and perimeter, noting conditions that may require follow-up and reporting security-related concerns according to site expectations.
