Security Officer - Highrise Patrol
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Highrise Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a premier hotel and resort location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for guests and staff. Requirements
- At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- A state, county, and/or city issued security-related license is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a hotel or resort location.
- Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting activity according to site expectations.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout lobbies, corridors, parking areas, amenities, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and common areas, assist with visitor and vendor entry procedures, and provide visible support during high-traffic periods, special events, and/or after-hours operations.
- Communicate with site contacts, local responders, and Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents, maintenance concerns, and/or conditions that may impact daily operations.
