About The Position

As a Security Officer - High Rise in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a leading financial institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support staff and visitors with professional customer service, clear communication, and timely reporting. Requirements

  • Have three plus years combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Be 21 plus years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a financial services location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and controlled access points, verifying credentials and maintaining visitor and/or contractor logs per site requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, suspicious behavior, medical calls, and/or disturbances, and coordinate notifications to site leadership and emergency services as needed.
  • Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity in written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and the site point of contact.
