About The Position

As a Security Officer - High Rise Patrol Driver in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine vehicle patrols and visible presence checks, watch for unusual activity, and document and report security-related concerns. You will communicate clearly with staff and visitors, providing customer service while supporting a professional environment. Requirements

  • Be a graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent.
  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a Corrections Officer License.
  • Possess a Law Enforcement Officer License.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff and visitors at a government location by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including requesting assistance from appropriate personnel when needed.
  • Monitor access points and observe for unusual activity or policy violations to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or disruptive behavior.
  • Document patrols, incidents, and observations in written reports and logs, and communicate status updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
