About The Position
As a Security Officer - High-rise Financial Building in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a financial institution location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support employees and visitors with strong customer service and communication while working in a caring culture built on agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.
Requirements
- Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, including lobbies, offices, parking areas, and perimeter locations, as conditions vary by site.
- Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and vendor activity to help support site protocols and help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious behavior.
- Support daily operations by communicating professionally with staff and visitors, following post orders, and assisting with security-related concerns as needed.
