About The Position

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a residential property, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will assist residents and visitors with professional customer service, clear communication, and accurate reporting, while supporting a culture that is agile, reliable, and innovative. You will also contribute through teamwork and act with integrity in every interaction.

Requirements

  • Have 2 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be 21 or more years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

  • Have a guard card or license preferred.
  • Have CPR certification preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a residential property.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance or security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and respond to resident and visitor inquiries, assisting with entry protocols, amenity area rules, and/or directing individuals to the appropriate property management contact as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations, notifying property management and/or emergency services when appropriate, and assisting with scene control until additional help arrives.
  • Complete detailed written reports of daily activity, incidents, and irregular conditions, and communicate relevant information to oncoming Allied Universal personnel and/or site representatives.
