About The Position

The Security Officer at the Health Care Center in Palm Beach Gardens is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This role involves greeting individuals, providing assistance, and ensuring that all security protocols are followed. The officer will also conduct surveillance, report hazards, and enforce property rules while promoting a positive public image of the facility.

Requirements

• State of Florida Security License Required
• Be at least 21 years old
• Have a High School Diploma or GED
• Have reliable means of transportation and communication
• Pass all required background and drug screenings
• Provide proof of required vaccinations (or be willing to receive required vaccinations)
• Present oneself in a professional manner through appearance and conduct at all times on duty
• Keep uniforms clean and presentable at all times
• Understand and comply with all client regulations
• Have a good understanding of DSI's Code of Ethics
• Receive training and become familiar with general safety procedures

Responsibilities

• Greeting patients or visitors in a warm and courteous manner
• Providing patients and visitors directions as requested
• Providing appropriate assistance as needed to patients, visitors, and employees
• Promoting good public relations through courteous and professional contact
• Maintaining constant surveillance of assigned areas
• Being alert to observe, correct, and report safety and security hazards
• Assuring that all persons entering the building are authorized
• Completing Incident Reports, Daily Activity Reports, or other written documents as requested
• Enforcing rules and policies of the property in the assigned area
• Helping maintain the cleanliness and exceptional appearance of the hospital lobby
