Job Description As a Security Officer – Healthcare in Pittsburgh, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents and promote a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. Your presence and exceptional customer service will support a welcoming atmosphere, while your attention to detail will contribute to loss prevention and assist in responding to various situations. Requirements

Hospital employees must have required vaccinations as mandated by the facility.
Applicants may be required to work in hospital morgue areas as part of their security-related duties.
Applicants must be able to restrain individuals as required in a hospital environment.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for healthcare locations.
Conduct regular and random patrols inside the facility and around the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a visible presence throughout the location.
Document security-related incidents, observations, and actions taken according to site and Allied Universal guidelines.
Collaborate with healthcare staff and local authorities as needed to provide support during incidents and/or emergencies.
Remain alert to changes in the environment and communicate any concerns to supervisors or appropriate personnel.
