About The Position

As a Security Officer - Healthcare Screener in Harrisonburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Screener in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents and promote a welcoming environment for all. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to support a secure atmosphere, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton experience is preferred.
An armed guard card or license is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by greeting visitors, patients, and staff in a professional manner while following security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
Conduct health screening procedures for all individuals entering the healthcare location, which may include asking screening questions and/or taking temperatures as required by site protocols.
Monitor entry points to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain an orderly flow of people entering and exiting the premises.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as appropriate according to site guidelines.
Maintain accurate records of screening activities and report any concerns to Allied Universal management and/or site leadership as required.
Support emergency response activities in accordance with location protocols and Allied Universal training.
Communicate clearly and courteously with all individuals encountered, providing assistance and information as needed.
