About The Position

As a Security Officer - Healthcare Perimeter Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a reassuring presence for staff, patients, and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and offer exceptional customer service and communication, all while upholding Allied Universal's values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

Requirements

Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, staff, visitors, and patients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using sound judgment to address issues as they arise in a healthcare environment.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, verifying credentials and helping to maintain a secure environment for all individuals present.
Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and unusual occurrences in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.
Assist with crowd control, visitor management, and access control as needed within the healthcare location.
Support emergency response procedures, including assisting with evacuations or medical emergencies, as directed by site policies.
