As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a leading healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help to deter security-related incidents and support a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Requirements

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within a healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to observe for any unusual activity or security-related concerns.
  • Assist with access control by verifying credentials and screening individuals as required by site policies.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to company and client procedures.
  • Support emergency response activities as needed, including guiding individuals during evacuations or other emergency situations.
  • Collaborate with facility staff and local authorities as directed to address security-related needs and concerns.
