As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with strong customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license in the job state. Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of corridors, lobbies, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including providing direction, requesting assistance, and supporting medical staff as needed.
- Monitor access points and observe activity via rounds and/or facility systems, reporting irregular conditions and documenting incidents per post orders.
- Complete required reports and logs accurately and communicate relevant updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
