Security Officer - Healthcare Patrol
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Unarmed Healthcare Patrol in Scottsdale, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing a reassuring presence. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- CPR certification is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to individuals at the healthcare location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or potential issues.
- Observe and report any irregularities, such as property damage, suspicious activity, or unauthorized persons on the premises.
- Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and maintaining visitor logs as required by site procedures.
- Communicate clearly and promptly with Allied Universal management and client representatives regarding incidents, hazards, and/or other concerns.
- Support emergency response efforts, including assisting with evacuations and providing directions to staff and visitors as needed.
- Document all incidents and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client protocols.
