As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support staff and visitors with strong customer service, clear communication, and timely reporting, while working as part of an agile, reliable, and innovative Allied Universal team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Client requires proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, vendors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, exterior areas, and perimeter, including sensitive areas such as intake, laboratory, and/or administrative spaces, as directed by post orders.
• Help to control access at entrances and restricted areas by verifying authorization, monitoring visitor flow, and documenting entries and/or exits according to site protocols.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical or behavioral events, suspicious activity, and/or property concerns, and notify appropriate site contacts and/or public responders when needed.
• Complete required reports and logs, communicate observations to site leadership and Allied Universal management, and help to maintain a professional presence that supports a respectful environment.
