Requirements

Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Meet hospital vaccine requirements.
Be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare/medical-related field.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, helping to support staff, patients, and visitors during changing conditions.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations, noting unusual activity and/or conditions that may require attention.
Assist with access control activities by monitoring designated entry points, verifying approved access as directed by site policies, and reporting unauthorized or suspicious activity.
Document incidents, observations, and security-related concerns in accordance with site procedures, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and/or local contacts as needed.
