About The Position

As a Security Officer Healthcare Patrol in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, support a welcoming environment, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. You will complete routine patrols, assist staff, patients, and visitors with professionalism, and deliver caring service through teamwork, integrity, and clear communication in a dynamic medical setting.

Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
At least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through proper channels when needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or potential concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, help to deter unauthorized entry, and report security-related issues, hazards, and/or policy violations.
Support daily operations by documenting incidents, completing assigned reports, and communicating professionally with site contacts, staff, and first responders as appropriate.
