About The Position

Requirements

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies to help protect people, property, and information within a healthcare environment.
  • Provide customer service by assisting patients, staff, and visitors, responding to inquiries and offering directions as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical emergencies or disturbances.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols, both inside and around the perimeter of the healthcare location, to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential issues.
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings and report any security-related concerns or unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
  • Support access control measures by monitoring entry points, verifying identification, and/or screening individuals as required.
  • Assist law enforcement or emergency responders when requested and follow established protocols during emergency situations.
  • Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Participate in ongoing training and maintain qualifications required for an armed security-related post.
