About The Position

As a Security Officer - Healthcare Patrol in Tehachapi, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain visible throughout the facility to help deter security-related incidents. You will play a key role in providing exceptional customer service and communication, while supporting a welcoming environment for staff, patients, and visitors. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
At least one year of security-related experience is required.
Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or equivalent.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Applicants who are comfortable using a computer or tablet are preferred.

Responsibilities

Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies while providing customer service to all individuals at the healthcare location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using appropriate judgement for the healthcare environment.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or security-related incidents as required by site protocols.
Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying identification, and helping to manage visitor flow.
Support emergency response activities as needed, following established protocols for healthcare settings.
Communicate professionally with staff, patients, and visitors to promote a secure and welcoming environment.
Complete required documentation and incident reports in a timely and accurate manner.
