You will conduct routine foot patrols, monitor assigned areas, document and report security-related activity, and respond to requests with clear communication and customer service. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical facility disturbances, disruptive behavior, and/or suspicious activity.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location and perimeter, including parking areas, entrances, lobbies, corridors, and other assigned areas. Working environments and conditions may vary by site.
Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction, wayfinding, and/or queue management in high-traffic areas.
Observe and report unusual conditions such as unsecured doors, loitering, unauthorized access attempts, and/or property damage, and escalate concerns per post orders.
Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and/or other required documentation in a timely manner.
Support staff with non-clinical de-escalation and customer service techniques when interactions become tense, while following post orders and local requirements.
Coordinate with site leadership and/or emergency services as needed during alarms, emergencies, and/or other critical events.
Operate radios, phones, and/or other communications equipment to relay information and request assistance when needed.
Follow Allied Universal and site-specific confidentiality expectations when handling information encountered during patrol duties.
