As a Security Officer - Healthcare Patrol Shift in Birmingham, AL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. You will interact with staff, patients, and visitors, delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication. This role is ideal for those who value teamwork, integrity, and making a positive impact in a caring environment focused on people first.

Requirements

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare environment.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the needs of staff, visitors, and patients.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and address security-related concerns.
Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying identification, and supporting visitor management protocols as required.
Observe and report any unusual activity, property damage, or hazards to Allied Universal and/or site management in a timely manner.
Work collaboratively with healthcare staff and other Allied Universal personnel to maintain a welcoming and orderly environment for all individuals on site.
Participate in emergency response drills and assist during real emergencies according to established procedures.
