About The Position

As a Security Officer - Healthcare Patrol Route in Durham, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will engage with staff, patients, and visitors, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations within the healthcare environment in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a visible Allied Universal presence.
  • Assist staff, patients, and visitors with security-related needs and information as required.
  • Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities according to site protocols and Allied Universal procedures.
  • Collaborate with hospital staff and local authorities as needed to address security-related concerns and support emergency response efforts.
