As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will engage with staff, patients, and visitors through strong customer service and clear communication, respond to calls for assistance, and document observations. Requirements

  • Be able to work in a hospital environment where vaccines are present.
  • Be able to work in a hospital environment with a morgue.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be able to restrain individuals.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at a healthcare location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify clinical staff and/or local responders as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor flow, assist with wayfinding, and help to maintain orderly conduct in public areas such as lobbies, waiting rooms, and corridors.
  • Complete required shift documentation including patrol logs, incident reports, and/or daily activity reports; communicate observations and follow post orders from Allied Universal and site leadership.
