Job Description As a Security Officer - Healthcare Patrol Rounds in Columbia, SC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents and create a welcoming environment for all. Your visible presence and strong communication skills will support hospital staff, patients, and visitors. This is a driving post, so you will operate a vehicle as part of your patrol duties. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the security-related needs of the healthcare environment.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter potential security-related issues and identify any concerns.
Observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel and/or management.
Assist with controlling access to restricted areas and monitor visitor movement within the location to help to maintain order and support site policies.
Complete detailed and accurate reports on all security-related activities, incidents, and observations during the shift.
Collaborate with healthcare staff and Allied Universal team members to address any concerns and support a secure environment for all occupants.
