Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
A New York State Security Guard License is required.
At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify potential concerns.
Observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance issues found during patrols within the location.
Assist visitors, patients, and staff with directions and general inquiries, maintaining a professional and approachable demeanor.
Maintain detailed and accurate logs and/or incident reports as required by the site and Allied Universal policies.
Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency responders when needed, following site-specific guidelines.
