Join Allied Universal as an unarmed driving patrol officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Hospital vaccines are required.
  • Ability to work in a hospital morgue environment is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Ability to restrain individuals in a hospital environment is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • At least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following post instructions and location protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points, observe visitor and staff movement, and/or report suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
  • Support patients, visitors, and staff with directions, de-escalation assistance, and/or other customer service needs while maintaining a professional presence.
