Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within a healthcare environment.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation techniques as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, including both interior and exterior areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a visible security-related presence.
- Assist with access control, visitor management, and enforcing facility rules and regulations as directed by site procedures.
- Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and unusual occurrences according to Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
- Collaborate with healthcare staff and local law enforcement or emergency responders when necessary to support emergency response activities.
- Provide support during emergencies, such as fire alarms or medical incidents, by following established response procedures and assisting with crowd control and/or evacuation as needed.
