Job Description As a Security Officer - Healthcare Mobile Patrol in Syracuse, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help to deter security-related incidents and provide a welcoming presence. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for operating a vehicle while conducting your patrols. You will deliver exceptional customer service and communication, reflecting our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a secure atmosphere for patients, visitors, and staff.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential issues.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist in controlling access to restricted areas and monitor entry points as required by site-specific guidelines.
• Support healthcare staff and visitors by offering directions and general assistance as needed.
• Maintain detailed and accurate logs of activities, incidents, and any security-related occurrences during each shift.
