Job Description As a Security Officer - Healthcare Front Desk in Deland, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will be the first point of contact for visitors, patients, and staff. Your primary responsibilities include monitoring access, verifying credentials, and assisting with badge management, all while providing outstanding customer service. You will play a crucial role in helping to deter security-related incidents by maintaining a visible and welcoming presence. Requirements

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk location.
  • Monitor access to the building by greeting, screening, and directing visitors, patients, and/or staff as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unauthorized activity or entry.
  • Document and report security-related incidents or unusual activity according to Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
  • Assist with emergency response activities when appropriate, following established procedures for healthcare locations.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, staff, and visitors to address inquiries or concerns at the front desk.
