About The Position

As a Security Officer - Healthcare Foot Patrol in Durham, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide a welcoming presence. You will interact with staff, visitors, and patients, delivering exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and around the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns within the location to the appropriate personnel.
Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and helping to maintain a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors.
Support emergency response efforts by following procedures for medical emergencies, fire alarms, or other urgent situations specific to the healthcare environment.
Maintain detailed and accurate logs of patrols, incidents, and other security-related activities as required by site policies.
