About The Position
As a Security Officer - Healthcare Facility Unarmed Patrol in Suffern, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. Your visible presence supports a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. You'll conduct routine patrols, respond to situations as they arise, and communicate clearly with others, all while upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and a people-first approach.
Requirements
- At least one year of security-related experience is required.
- An armed guard card or license is required.
- Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Applicants who are comfortable using a computer or tablet are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
- Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
- Assist staff, patients, and visitors with directions and general inquiries as needed, supporting a welcoming environment.
- Collaborate with healthcare staff and first responders during emergencies or incidents, following established protocols.
- Complete required documentation and reports accurately and promptly, as outlined by Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
