Job Description As a Security Officer - Healthcare Facility Rounds in Syracuse, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a dynamic healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents and create a welcoming environment for all. You will remain highly visible, deliver outstanding customer service, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver's license. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
A New York State Security Guard License is required.
At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the healthcare environment.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or security-related incidents.
Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Assist visitors, staff, and patients by providing directions and general information as needed.
Document security-related incidents and maintain accurate records according to site-specific protocols.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as required during incidents or emergencies.
