Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Loss prevention experience is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.
The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies within a healthcare environment.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with emergency response activities as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and to observe for any unusual conditions.
Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report unusual activity.
Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and/or patients, addressing questions or concerns related to security-related matters.
Document incidents, observations, and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client guidelines.
Collaborate with healthcare personnel to support a secure and welcoming environment for employees, patients, and visitors.
