Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Access control or badge experience is preferred.
- The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies within a healthcare environment.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with emergency response activities as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and to observe for any unusual conditions.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report unusual activity.
- Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and/or patients, addressing questions or concerns related to security-related matters.
- Document incidents, observations, and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client guidelines.
- Collaborate with healthcare personnel to support a secure and welcoming environment for employees, patients, and visitors.
