About The Position

As a Security Officer - Healthcare Facility - Full Time in Elkton, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated healthcare locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing a reassuring presence. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication to all visitors and staff. This position requires driving responsibilities, so a valid driver's license is necessary. Requirements

  • Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Must possess an active armed guard card or license as required by applicable laws and regulations.
  • Must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related hazards, or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support access control procedures by monitoring entrances, exits, and visitor flow as required by site-specific protocols.
  • Assist with emergency response activities, including guiding individuals to designated areas and providing information to first responders as needed.
  • Maintain clear and accurate documentation of daily activities, incidents, and security-related observations according to Allied Universal and client requirements.
