Job Description As a Security Officer - Healthcare Access Patrol in New York, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide a welcoming presence. You will conduct routine patrols and offer exceptional customer service, supporting a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. Requirements

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence throughout the healthcare facility.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential security-related concerns.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related hazards, or incidents as per Allied Universal and site-specific policies.
  • Support access control measures by monitoring entrances, exits, and/or restricted areas in accordance with client and Allied Universal protocols.
  • Assist patients, staff, and visitors by providing directions and general information as needed, maintaining a helpful and approachable demeanor.
  • Document all incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client procedures.
