Job Description As a Security Officer – Healthcare Access Control in Monroeville, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents while patrolling assigned areas within a dynamic healthcare location. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to promote a secure environment, and provide outstanding customer service to staff, patients, and visitors. Requirements

• Applicants must have received required hospital vaccines.
• Applicants may be required to work in hospital morgue settings.
• Applicants may be required to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within a healthcare environment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
• Observe and report any security-related concerns, hazards, or incidents encountered during patrols.
• Collaborate with facility staff and Allied Universal team members to address security-related needs and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
• Maintain detailed and accurate logs and reports of all activities, incidents, and/or issues encountered during shifts.
• Follow all site-specific protocols and procedures relevant to the healthcare location.
