As a Patrol Unarmed Security Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors while delivering a welcoming customer service experience. Requirements

  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by following Allied Universal post orders, security-related procedures, and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through the chain of command as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor access points, help to verify visitor and vendor identification and/or appointments as required, and direct the public to appropriate areas while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Complete security-related reports such as incident reports, shift activity logs, and patrol documentation, and communicate observations to site representatives and Allied Universal leadership.
