About The Position

As a Security Officer Guest Services Desk in Wayne, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a front desk post within an educational location.
  • Monitor access at the front desk by greeting students, staff, visitors, and/or vendors, verifying identification or visitor information, and directing individuals according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, questions, and/or unusual situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to supervisors, staff, and/or first responders when needed.
  • Support front desk operations by maintaining logs, documenting routine activity and/or incidents, and reporting maintenance, access, or policy concerns through proper channels.
  • Help to deter unauthorized entry and/or disruptive behavior by observing lobby and reception area activity, following visitor management procedures, and addressing concerns according to post instructions.
