Job Description As a Security Officer - Government X-Ray Operator in Fort Lauderdale, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal supporting a dynamic government location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting thorough screening procedures and monitoring assigned areas. You will interact with the public, provide outstanding customer service, and maintain a visible presence to support a secure environment. Requirements

Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
X ray screening experience is preferred.
A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
Screen individuals, belongings, and/or materials entering the location to help to deter prohibited items and maintain compliance with established protocols.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, following site-specific guidelines.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Document and report any suspicious activity, security-related incidents, or breaches in accordance with Allied Universal and client protocols.
Maintain a visible presence throughout the assigned area to help to deter potential disruptions and provide assistance as needed.
Collaborate with other Allied Universal personnel and local authorities as required to support security-related operations at the location.
