Job Description As a Security Officer - Government X-Ray Operator in Fort Lauderdale, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal supporting a dynamic government location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting thorough screening procedures and monitoring assigned areas. You will interact with the public, provide outstanding customer service, and maintain a visible presence to support a secure environment. Requirements

  • Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • X ray screening experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Screen individuals, belongings, and/or materials entering the location to help to deter prohibited items and maintain compliance with established protocols.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, following site-specific guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Document and report any suspicious activity, security-related incidents, or breaches in accordance with Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the assigned area to help to deter potential disruptions and provide assistance as needed.
  • Collaborate with other Allied Universal personnel and local authorities as required to support security-related operations at the location.
