Job Description As a Security Officer - Government Visitor Services in West Palm Beach, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will be the first point of contact for visitors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. Your presence at the front desk helps to deter security-related incidents while fostering a welcoming environment. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • At least a minimum of 2 years of security experience
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
  • Assist with access control by verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering the location.
  • Monitor visitor and employee activity at the front desk to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Maintain clear and accurate records of daily activities, visitor logs, and incident reports as required by site procedures.
  • Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and Allied Universal management to relay important information and/or escalate issues as needed.
  • Support emergency response activities from the front desk position according to site-specific guidelines.
